What if my KYC documents are rejected?

JustCo Support Services -

If a submitted document is rejected, our team will let you know what's needed and give you the chance to resubmit. A rejected document does not cancel your Virtual Office membership — it simply means verification takes a little longer.

What you'll learn in this article

  • what happens if a KYC document is rejected;
  • how this affects your Service Start Date and Service End Date; and
  • what happens if verification cannot be completed at all.

What happens if a document is rejected?

If a document you submit doesn't meet requirements — for example, it's expired, unclear, or incomplete — our team will contact you with details of what's needed and give you the opportunity to resubmit.

A rejected document is not the same as a failed verification. Your Membership Term, Service Start Date and Service End Date do not change. You'll simply have fewer active service days if verification is completed after your Service Start Date, counted from whenever your Activation Date falls. The sooner you resubmit, the more of your term you'll have active.

JustCo is not liable for delays caused by document rejection or resubmission, and no refunds or adjustments to your Membership Term are made on this basis.

What if verification is never completed?

This is different from a rejected document that's later resubmitted successfully. If, after following up, verification cannot be completed at all — for example because valid documents cannot be provided of if we or if we have assessed in our sole discretion that you do not meet our internal risk and compliance requirements — your Membership Agreement is cancelled and any payment collected is refunded in full. See What is KYC and why is it required for Virtual Office? for more detail.
