What happens if my payment is overdue?

JustCo Support Services -

Learn what happens when payment is overdue, including suspension, late payment fees, termination, and why outstanding amounts remain payable even after termination.

If payment is not received by the due date, your membership may be subject to suspension, late payment fees, and termination.

What happens if my payment is overdue?

If payment is not received by the due date, the following process applies:

  • Due Date + 3 days: access will be suspended.
  • Due Date + 8 days: a Late Payment Fee will be issued.
  • Due Date + 14 days: the membership will be terminated.

What does suspension mean?

If your membership is suspended, access to the workspace may be restricted until the outstanding issue has been resolved.

Suspension does not cancel the unpaid amount. All outstanding fees remain payable.

What does termination mean?

If your membership is terminated due to non-payment, the membership is cancelled without recourse.

Termination of the membership does not cancel, reduce, or waive any amounts already owed to JustCo. All outstanding membership fees, Late Payment Fees, charges, and applicable penalties remain fully payable.

JustCo reserves the right to continue pursuing payment after termination, including recovery of all overdue sums and any applicable administrative charges.

A terminated membership cannot be reactivated. If you wish to rejoin after termination, a new membership will be required, and any applicable administrative or reactivation fees may apply.

Does termination clear my unpaid balance?

No. Termination ends the membership. It does not extinguish any outstanding debt.

Any unpaid membership fees, Late Payment Fees, and other charges that became payable before termination - or arose because of the non-payment - remain due in full.

Illustrations

Example 1 - Suspension

Your invoice is due on 1 June. If payment is still not received by 4 June (Due Date + 3), your access may be suspended.

Key point: Suspension affects access. It does not cancel the unpaid amount.

Example 2 - Late Payment Fee

If the invoice remains unpaid by 9 June (Due Date + 8), a Late Payment Fee may be issued.

Key point: Delay in payment may increase the total amount owed.

Example 3 - Termination

If the account remains unpaid by 15 June (Due Date + 14), the membership may be terminated.

Your access ends, but the unpaid balance remains fully due. JustCo may continue recovery action for the outstanding amount.

Key point: Termination ends the membership, but not the debt.

Example 4 - Request to reverse termination

If a member whose membership was terminated later asks for reinstatement, the terminated membership cannot simply be switched back on.

The member may need to settle all outstanding sums, submit a new membership application, and pay any applicable administrative or reactivation fees.

Key point: Termination is not a pause. It is an end-state.
